The Bloody Mary is a drink that has appeared in several episodes of J&B on the Rox, for reasons that I can't entirely explain.
After all, I'm not really a fan of the drink. Oh, I've had a few that served their purpose — the combined sensation of intoxicating substances coursing through the veins and stinging spices on the tongue and lips. But this combination is not one that I often seek out.
So why has this drink reappeared, when others that I so dearly treasure — the Mint Julep, the Amaretto Sour, the Maggot de Menthe — have been relegated to one-timers?
Well, it must have to do with the fact that, like the blood of Mary, this one comes around once a month or so, whether you like it or not.
