EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The new rox.com website will be a source for information about the ROX television series, including video content.

CONTENT OUTLINE

I. ROX Episode Guide

The ROX Episode Guide will provide access to information about every damn episode in the series (plus some related works outside the series proper) including title, season, running time, production date, featured locations, people, things, and ideas, as well as production notes (from anyone involved with making the episode) and reviews (from any viewer who cares to comment), not to mention frame captures with captions, featured drinks and vocabulary words, links to off-site content, even links to related episodes.

II. ROX Bartending Guide

The ROX Bartending Guide will provide drink recipes (by J or by visitors to the website) with reviews and bartending tips. Since most of J's drinks come from ROX episodes, there will also be frame captures with captions, links to the episode guide (sometimes to multiple episodes) and the occasional video clip.

III. ROX Dictionary

Becuz ROX is an edumacational program, it often features words outside the common vocabulary. This section of the site provides access to words with short and long definitions and links to episodes when appropriate. As above, captioned frame captures and video clips are a distinct possibility.

IV. ROX People

Here we learn about the people who make ROX, the people who appear on ROX, the people who are mentioned on ROX, fans of the show, and just about anybody we feel like including. Information included:

...as well as frame captures with captions, video clips, links to episodes the person was in and other related content (for example, reviews written), a self-description (or a description written by J or B), and contact information (e-mail address encoded to minimize spam).

V. ROX Locations

Access to information on places featured in episodes or otherwise significant, including name, latitude and longitude, street address and city if appropriate, state or province, country, description, directions (how to get there), comments, video clips, and captioned frame captures.

VI. ROX Things

We often feature things in our episodes, and we use things to make the show, so this section of the site will provide information about those things, including the name of the thing itself, descriptions, reviews, frame captures with captions, video, links.

VII. ROX Ideas

Since ROX is a program full of so many ideas, it only makes sense that the website should provide access to these. I'm not sure what goes here, but if we build the capacity, I think something interesting might crop up.

VIII. Watch ROX

This section provides quick access to the currently featured ROX episode, and schedule info for watching ROX on TV.

IX. Buy ROX

Not everyone will be able to watch ROX on-line or on TV, so tapes or DVDs will be offered for sale. Perhaps other merchandising too?

X. What the Fuck?

This part of the website provides information about ROX as a series (as opposed to its component parts, featured in other sections), including an introductory paragraph by both J and B and...

1. ROX FAQ: Answers to frequently asked questions. Users may submit questions, and others I think we can guess at, such as:
   1. What's the show about?
   2. Why is it called ROX?
   3. Is the rox.com domain for sale?
   4. Why do you swear so much?
2. The Legend of ROX: A carefully polished narrative (or two -- J&B side by side) about the origin and significance of the ROX project.
3. ROX Timeline: A chronological listing of highlights and milestones on the ROX path.
4. What other people have said about us: Press clips, fan mail, and the letter from the Governor's Commission for a Drug-Free Indiana, etc., in the form of:
   1. Short, select, quotable quotes
   2. Full text with pix if appropriate
   3. Links to off-site content
   4. Our own notes/rebuttals
