Jose Marti, Revolutionary

B: I ride past the statue of Jose Marti everyday on my way to and from work. When I was looking for images to accompany the text of our “Dormitory Disorientation Manual” in ROX #87, I naturally thought a picture of Jose Marti would fit nicely with the phrase “acts of rebellion.”

Strangely enough, I finished editing that show on January 28, 2003, which was Marti's 150th birthday. When I rode past the statue, I noticed that a group of Cuban-Americans had placed a wreath there to commemorate the event.
