Some people are confused about what Xy stands for and how to pronounce it. You might have heard that XY is the male chromosome. This is true, but that's a mere coincidence.

Xy is the name of the ROX tour guide, who also happens to be the love of my life and the song of my heart. I can assure you that she is female.

X stands for Christ, as any good Xian knows. Thus the expression, “Merry Xmas.” As for Y, well, that stands for why as in “Christ, why did you do that?” This is something I ask around our house on an alarmingly frequent basis.

Put them together and you have her name, pronounced kris-tee just like you'd expect.

So Xy is really just an abbreviation. We use the abbreviated form as a codename to protect her secret identity. In real life she's a teacher, and it just wouldn't do to have her students searching the Web and finding this website.
