  Frame 1. J IN MONTANA

    J introduces the crisis.
    Complains about all the things he misses about B.

Content 1. AN AFTERNOON IN MISSOULA, MT

    J spends an aimless afternoon in a city bereft of B.

  Frame 2. B IN NEW ORLEANS

    B continues the narrative.
    Complains about all the things he can't do when J's not around.

Content 2. AN AFTERNOON IN NEW ORLEANS, LA

    B bums around New Orleans, bored witless without J.

  Frame 3. EDIT-TIME CONVERSATION

    J&B talk to each other.
    J shoots his part first,
    B splices his carefully thought-out replies in between.
    Yet this lacks the spontaneity of real-time dialog.

Content 3. PEACE OUT WEST

    Peace rallies in Seattle and Missoula.

  Frame 4. REAL-TIME CONVERSATION

    J&B talk to each other.
    J shoots his part first,
    B shoots his reactions in real-time.
    OK, it's spontaneous, but it's a one-way street.

Content 4. PEACE DOWN SOUTH

    Peace rallies in New Orleans.

  Frame 5. SPLIT-SCREEN PHONE CONVERSATION

    J&B talk to each other on the phone.
    J is on the left half, B on the right half, of a screen.
    (Maybe J mixes a drink?)
    It's two-way communication, but I'm cramped on half a screen.

Content 5. TALKING ABOUT THE WAR AT WALMART

    Interviews about the proposed war on Iraq,
    in the parking lot of  the WalMart in Missoula, MT.

  Frame 6. FULL-SCREEN PHONE CONVERSATION

    J&B talk to each other on the phone, both in full-screen mode.
    B will cut between the videos.
    (Maybe that drink is better here!)
    We both get room to stretch our legs.
    Is this as good as it gets?

Content 6. TALKING ABOUT WALMART AT A PEACE RALLY

    At a peace rally in New Orleans,
    B proposes we bomb WalMart instead of Iraq.

    B reflects.
